Lap-by-lap action from Saturday's qualifying session at the A1 Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix.

1311 BST: In a late flurry of activity Ralf Schumacher brings his fastest time down to 1:08.364 but he cannot catch Rubens Barrichello, who takes pole with a time of 1:08.082.
1309 BST: Barrichello has his lap ruined by a slower car and although Michael Schumacher trims his time he stays third behind brother Ralf.
1308 BST: Michael Schumacher returns to the track with less than three minutes of the session remaining as Barrichello goes for another flying lap.
1304 BST: Juan Pablo Montoya moves up to seventh with a time of 1:09.556, more than a second off the pace, while Michael Schumacher fails to improve his time and returns to the pits.
There is frantic activity in the Ferrari pit and the world champion is going to give it a go in the spare car.
1303 BST: Michael Schumacher and Montoya both return to the track desperately looking to improve their times.
1300 BST: Ralf Schumacher pushes his brother down to third as he records a time of 1:08.363.
1258 BST: With 13 minutes to go Barrichello leads from his Ferrari team-mate Michael Schumacher, with Ralf Schumacher in third.
Ralf Schumacher's team-mate Montoya is well off the pace and is down in 10th.
1254 BST: Barrichello trims the fastest time to 1:08.267 as he goes straight into a second flying lap.
1252 BST: Michael Schumacher finally makes his move and posts the second fastest time behind team-mate Barrichello.
Barrichello records 1:08.676 and Schumacher 1:08.859 but the world champion then spins and has to go back into the pits.
1250 BST: Ralf Schumacher posts the quickest lap so far with a time of 1:09.354.
1248 BST: Jacques Villeneuve records a time of 1:10.672 as he posts the first quick lap since the session restarted following Jarno Trulli's engine blow up.
1245 BST: Villeneuve in a BAR is the first driver to go back out on the track following Trulli's engine blow up.
1242 BST: Since the session restarted no-one has ventured out onto the track.
The big teams are hoping one of the smaller outfits willl go first and clean the track for them.
1240 BST: The session has restarted following a delay as an oil trail left by Trulli's Renault was cleared from the track.
1236 BST: The delay to the session is beneficial for Juan Pablo Montoya, as it gives the mechanics more time to set up the spare Williams to his specifications.
The oil trail left by Trulli has now been cleared from the track and the session will soon re-start.
1232 BST: Work is continuing to clear the mess left by Trulli's Renault after it burst into flames.
1229 BST: Rubens Barrichello is the first of the Ferrari drivers to make his bow and he looks like setting the fastest time before sliding off at turn eight.
Trulli's Renault has burst into flames and oil from his car may have contributed to Barrichello's exit from the track.
As a result the session is red-flagged while the track is cleared up.
1225 BST: Schumacher carves more than a second off Takuma Sato's time with a lap of 1:09.648.
McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen and David Coulthard then both beat Schumacher's time, with Coulthard recording 1:09.413.
1220 BST: Sato sets the fastest time of 1:10.841 in a Jordan.
Juan Pablo Montoya will have to qualify in the spare car because of a problem with his Williams.
1218 BST: Minardi driver Alex Yoong spins on lap seven as he goes for a fastest lap.
1216 BST: Montoya is the second man out but he only completes one circuit and does not go for a flying lap.
1213 BST: Mark Webber sets a target for the rest of the field of one minute, 13.794 seconds.
1210 BST: Minardi driver Webber becomes the first person to make it onto the track but seems to have trouble with his engine.
He slows dramatically before finally picking up speed and going for a flying lap.
1208 BST: There is still no sign of movement in any of the garages.
1203 BST: The teams are biding their time and no-one has yet ventured out onto the track.
1200 BST: The qualifying session gets underway in dry, sunny conditions. The track temperature is 29C and the air temperature is 21C.
Michael Schumacher set the pace in Saturday's two warm-up sessions, with Ferrari team-mate Rubens Barrichello in second.
Ralf Schumacher was third-fastest in the second early outing at the A1 Ring in Spielberg, with fellow Williams-BMW driver Juan Pablo Montoya fourth.
