Trulli considers Jordan future
Jarno Trulli
Trulli: unhappy with the Jordan performance this year
Jarno Trulli has spoken out about the sacking of his former team-mate Heinz-Harald Frentzen and revealed that he is considering leaving the Jordan team at the end of the current Formula One stadium.

Trulli, who has out-performed Frentzen this season, is nearing the end of a two-year contract with the Silverstone-based team.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix, Trulli revealed that he was shocked by Frentzen's sacking earlier this week.

We just haven't achieved what we want
  Jarno Trulli
He said: "The news came as a big shock," said Trulli.

"I knew nothing about it. I know it's not nice to come here and not be working alongside your usual team-mate.

"To be honest the atmosphere in the team is not as bad as people probably think," he added.

"I certainly didn't detect anything wrong before Heinz's departure."

But the Italian could not hide his frustration at Jordan's poor performances this season after winning just nine points this season.

"We just haven't achieved what we want, " Trulli said.

"We have proved more than once the package is there, it's just a matter of developing it. The Jordan team has been working hard, we've had small changes, but there hasn't been a major step forward."

And Trulli could be following Frentzen out the Jordan exit.

Maybe Eddie (Jordan) will want to change both drivers
  Jarno Trulli

He said: " I will remain focused and do the best job I can for this team. I know that what happened to Heinz won't influence my decision regarding what I will do next year.

"Although it's a good idea to stay here, you have to take a look at what's happening around you. I know what I can achieve with this team, but I have to consider other opportunities.

"I am talking with several people and I will make my decision within the next few weeks. I'm just really relaxed because I know I'm doing a good job and I can be strong wherever I go.

"Then again maybe Eddie (Jordan) will want to change both drivers. You never know. I've learnt anything can happen in Formula One from one day to the next."

Trulli admitted his race preparations for this weekend have been hampered by Frentzen's sacking.

Trulli added that he was sympathetic of Frentzen's plight, but will wait to speak to his former team-mate - who is believed to be holidaying in Spain - until after the dust has settled.
