Stoke Potters will take a 30-point lead into the second leg of their Knockout Cup semi-final tie against the Dudley Heathens after a 62-32 win on Sunday. Stoke made a flying start to the meeting at Loomer Road, taking 5-1 maximums in the first four heats. Reserve James Sarjeant scored 12 points for Stoke, while Simon Lambert and Tim Webster both contributed 11 points. "Despite being 30 points ahead, we will not be taking Dudley lightly in the second leg," said boss Malcolm Vasey. "I'm sure the Heathens will be smarting after this defeat. We rode superbly and all the team deserves credit." The second leg takes place at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green on Tuesday.
