Freddie Lindgren returns to best form for Wolverhampton

Lindgren won five rides out of five against Ipswich

Wolverhampton's returning World Cup stars were all in fine form as they brushed aside Ipswich 57-38 in the Elite League clash at Monmore Green.

Swedish star Freddie Lindgren was the pick of the bunch with five wins out of five for a 15-point haul.

Nicolai Klindt returned from Danish duty to register 13 points, with Great Britain international Tai Woffinden chipping in with 10.

The victory means Wolves' unbeaten home record is nearing the two-year mark.

It also consolidated the Black Country club's grip on second position, helped by the home defeat suffered by third-placed Lakeside against leaders Poole.

There is the possibility of surgery - it's a major worry for us

Peter Adams on Adam Skornicki

But there is bad news for Wolves as their Polish rider Adam Skornicki continues to battle the knee injury that kept him out of the Ipswich match.

"The way it's looking it could be a couple of weeks for him and there is also the possibility of some surgery," said Wolves boss Peter Adams.

"It's a major worry for us because Adam has been in great form since coming back to us.

"We have a lot of meetings throughout August and obviously we need him, but the priority has to be for him to get right."

Wolves will likely use the rider replacement facility for Skornicki in Friday night's meeting at Coventry.
