Vissing's last appearance for Stoke came against Newcastle on Saturday
Claus Vissing has left the Stoke Potters and has been replaced by former Redcar Bears rider Henning Bager.
Vissing only joined the Premier League club in June following his release from Elite League side Ipswich.
Promoter Dave Tattum said: "When we signed Claus we knew there was a chance he would be recalled back to the Elite League and that is what has happened."
The announcement was made after the 48-42 defeat to Newcastle, ending the Potters' unbeaten run at Loomer Road.
Even the return of skipper Jason Bunyan, who scored nine points on his first appearance since suffering a knee injury in April, could not prevent Stoke losing at home in the Premier League in 2010.
