Wolverhampton draft in Edinburgh skipper Matt Wethers

Chris Kerr
Kerr is not expected to be back in action until the end of July

Wolverhampton have moved quickly to fill the hole in their line-up left by the serious injury suffered by reserve rider Chris Kerr.

He is expected to be out for at least two months after breaking his leg riding for Birmingham on Wednesday.

But Edinburgh skipper Matt Wethers has agreed to double up at Monmore Green as the American's deputy.

The 24-year old Australian has track experience after riding for the Wolf Cubs when he was a teenager.

Wethers will make his Wolves debut against Peterborough at Monmore on Monday evening.
