Swindon Robins are hoping rider Simon Stead will return to action against Ipswich on Thursday after he was hurt during Saturday's win at Eastbourne. Stead injured his shoulder when he came off his bike and was struck by the Sussex side's Cameron Woodward. Robins boss Ronnie Russell said: "Thankfully there aren't any broken bones but Simon did suffer painful burns to his shoulder and leg area. "He had physiotherapy and is booked in for sessions throughout the week." The injury marred an otherwise good display for the Robins, who edged the encounter against the Eagles 47-43. Veteran Leigh Adams and Swedish youngster Thomas H Jonasson starred for the Swindon, both contributing 14.
