Lincolnshire racing driver Jack Harvey has been awarded Rising Star status by the British Racing Drivers' Club. The award, given to only 40 drivers each year, is in recognition of the 16-year-old's performances in Formula BMW in his debut season in a single seater. Harvey said: "I'm honoured to have been chosen and feel privileged to have had my performance in car racing noticed. "It has made me even more determined to carry on my push for the Formula BMW rookie title this season." Harvey returns to action in Hungary this weekend in the latest round of the Formula BMW Europe series at the Hungaroring near Budapest. He added: "I'm definitely fired up and ready. I really want to focus on getting a good qualifying position this weekend. "It is so tight at the sharp end of the grid that just a couple of places can leave you fighting for too long to be able to stay on terms with the leaders. "A good starting position will put me where I need to be, to be able to fight at the front."
