Laverty fourth in superbike race

John Laverty
John Laverty missed out on a podium place at Mallory Park

Toomebridge rider John Laverty finished fourth in the second British Superbike Championship race in Sunday's meeting at Mallory Park.

The Toomebridge rider was forced out in the opener while Ian Lowry was seventh and 20th.

BJ Toal was the top local rider in the Supersport race, coming in sixth with Marty Nutt in 15th while Lee Johnston failed to finish.

Paul Jordan was also forced to retire in the 125 event.
