Great Britain will need to finish in the top two of Thursday's play-off if they are to reach the final of the World Cup.

Led by Coventry Bees skipper Chris Harris, GB finished third behind Poland and Australia in their qualifier.

Harris told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire: "We always knew we'd be concentrating on that third place.

"I don't think anyone disgraced themselves," he added after top-scoring for the home nation with 13 points.

Final score
Poland 54
Australia 52
Great Britain 34
Slovenia 13

Great Britain will take on reigning champions Denmark, Sweden and Australia in Thursday's play-off in Leszno, Poland, with the top two joining the host nation and Russia in the final at the same venue two days later.

Slovenia were the fall guys from Monday's qualifier in Peterborough after finishing last.
