Pearson takes Scarborough success

Michael Pearson won the feature Cock of the North race at the annual summer meeting at Scarborough on Sunday.

Pearson became only the second Northern Ireland rider to win the event after triumphing in the eight-lap race.

The Ballygowan rider began the weekend well by winning a Superbike race and finishing second to Ian Lougher in a Supersport race on Saturday.

He then took a further Superbike victory on Sunday and again finished runner-up to Lougher in the Supersport.
