Norfolk teenager set for F2 debut

Norfolk teenager Alex Brundle is set to make his debut when Formula 2 returns later this year.

The 18-year-old is the son of former Grand Prix driver and BBC commentator Martin Brundle.

Alex graduates from Formula Palmer Audi where he finished sixth over all last year and scored three podium finishes in his second year in the series.

The youngster from Gayton faces tough opposition in F2 which begins in May using cars built by Williams.

Speaking on BBC Radio Norfolk, Bundell said, "Next year I am racing old guys but I don't see that as a problem.

"Everyone has learnt their trade and needs to apply it and the time I've got to do that will give me an advantage."
