Top spot goes to Ferrari's Felipe Massa who, despite suffering a high-speed crash, posts a time of 1mins 19.575secs

Coulthard has a good session

The second session starts at 1400 BST and sees a much-improved performance from the Red Bull drivers with Coulthard coming fourth

Hamilton posts the third fastest time of the second session

Hamilton is almost a second slower this time round but quick enough to again finish third with a time of 1:20.543

Webber posts a time of 1:20.520

Mark Webber, the other Red Bull driver, puts in a decent drive shortly before the end of the session to finish second

Kovalainen is fastest in the second session

Kovalainen takes the honours for McLaren with a lap of 1:19.989 making it difficult to predict a winner at this early stage of the event
