A1 GP pitches nations against each other

Germany, Russia and Indonesia have been added to the line-up for the first round of the new A1 GP series.
That will take the total cars starting the inaugural race at Brands Hatch in Kent on 25 September to 20.
Billed as a World Cup of motorsport, the series pits nations against each other rather than drivers and teams.
The championship is the brainchild of a member of Dubai's ruling dynasty, Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, who is also funding it.
