Lotterer gets lucky with Jaguar
Jaguar Racing
Jaguar have lost the services of Herbert
German driver Andre Lotterer is set for a Formula One test with the Jaguar team next month.

A spokeswoman for the British-based company said Lotterer, who signed earlier in the season as a development driver, would test the Jaguar R1 in Barcelona between 12-14 December.

Jaguar scored four points last season with the British pair of Eddie Irvine and Johnny Herbert their two drivers.

Herbert has left Grand Prix racing after taking part in 161 races for various teams.

Lotterer raced in the German Formula 3 Championshp this season. He has been identified as a potential star of the future by Jaguar.

The team is keen to employ a German in F1 because the country is an important market for Jaguar road cars.
