Schwarz: Could spring a surprise
Schwarz has done well for Skoda this year
Armin Schwarz is a seasoned campaigner on the world championship trail.
The German has put in the occasional impressive performance, but he has never been consistently convincing enough to merit an uninterrupted run in a truly top team. The closest he came was a drive with Toyota in the 1990s, but he was consistently overshadowed by his team leaders, whether it be Carlos Sainz or Juha Kankkunen. Nevertheless, Schwarz has impressed with under-funded Skoda this season. He has had some good showings on the British Rally, and could spring a surprise or two over the weekend.
