Fell squeezed out of medal race

Fell won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics

Bath-based Heather Fell finished just outside the medals at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup final in Brazil.

Fell, who won silver at last year's final, took fourth place, just 32 points behind bronze medallist Leila Gyenesei of Hungary.

GB team-mate Mhairi Spence came 12th at the event in Rio de Janeiro, with Katy Livingston finishing 21st.

The gold medal went to Lithuania's Donata Rimsaite with Yana Marques of Brazil taking the runners-up spot.

In the men's event, Sam Weale came 18th and Nick Woodbridge 24th.
