Peugeot retain title
Harri Rovanpera takes his Peugeot to second place in the Rally of Great Britain
Rovanpera made it a one-two for Peugeot
Peugeot have retained the World Rally Championship constructors' title.

The French manufacturers were assured of victory after Ford withdrew from the Rally of Great Britain following Carlos Sainz's accident in Saturday's 11th stage.

Peugeot's drivers finished first and second in the season-ending rally to secure victory for the team.

Finland's 2000 world champion Marcus Gronholm won the British rally for the first time.

  Manufacturers' final standings
1st: Peugeot (106 points)
2nd: Ford (86)
3rd: Mitsubishi (69)
4th: Subaru (66)
5th: Skoda, Hyundai (17)
Gronholm was two minutes and 27.1 seconds ahead of compatriot and team-mate Harri Rovanpera.

New world rally champion Richard Burns is set to join Peugeot in a 4.5m deal next year.

But he could be involved in a tug-of-war with Subaru who have said that they have an option in his contract to retain him should he become champion.
