Show no fear
Colin Charvis
Wales flanker Colin Charvis says there's every chance that they can repeat their heroics of two years ago in Paris and cause an upset against France.

We were on the back of a couple of losses when we went out there two years ago and were pretty desperate to win.

Fortunately we pulled off a victory - the first time in Paris for something like 27 years - and it was one of those days that everything we tried, especially in the first half, worked and they just couldn't claw it back.

That's been the word from Graham Henry - be bold, take them on one-on-one, we've got some pace so use it.

We lost a bit of confidence against England and didn't take Scotland on as much as we should have.

Extra dimension

What we're going to be looking for this weekend is not to be intimidated by the situation and not to have a fear of losing.

When Rhys Williams is on top and he's on form then he's full of confidence and a pleasure to play with.

We're hoping this weekend that he is confident and he is going to take them on because he's a very elusive and a very quick runner.

It's just a joy to go running after Rhys and try to support him.

On the wings, Gareth Thomas and Dafydd James have an extra dimension to them because of their size and strength.

A lot of people have criticised them for not being very quick and yet I've never seen them completely outpaced before.

Concentrate

As with any wing, if they're given the gap and take the gap then they can finish as well as anybody else.

I can remember when Gareth scored a try against Australia back in 1996 where he ran 95 yards to score.

If the Ireland game had gone ahead then I probably would have been given an opportunity to rest by Swansea.

But to miss two weekends in a row during the Six Nations wouldn't have been good and (Swansea coach) John Plumtree understood that and included me at the weekend against Ebbw Vale.

But it is good to have a rest and not to be playing back-to-back games and picking up bumps and bruises.

We've just got to concentrate hard on this weekend now. There's no longer any excuses that we've played too many games on the trot, we've just got to knuckle down and do our best.
