Bath 38-9 Swansea

A hat-trick from Tom Voyce helped Bath to their second win in the Heineken Cup.

A further score from Kevin Maggs and 18 points from the boot of Matt Perry secured an impressive win.

Bath, who have had indifferent start to the Premiership season, went into the match on the back of a superb win at Biarritz and took the lead after just seven minutes.

Wing Iain Balshaw tested Swansea lock Andy Moore with a kick that bounced awkwardly in front of the Wales forward.

Bath's Mike Catt then fed a defence-splitting inside pass to Voyce, who sprinted 30 metres for his first try that full-back Matt Perry converted.

Arwel Thomas missed three kicks during a six-minute spell before eventually placing one between the posts.

But the sharp-shooting Perry hit back twice to put Bath 13-3 ahead at the interval.

Thomas reduced the deficit with a penalty, but back came the consistent Perry.

Voyce added his second when he ran clear on a three-man overlap, then completed his hat-trick from Catt's exquisite pass.

Ireland international Maggs then put the icing on the cake when he sprinted 50 metres for his try.
