Pakistan's Inzamam-ul-Haq has climbed four places to fourth in the Test batting ratings following his Man of the Match performance in the second Test against England.

Inzamam scored 114 in the first innings and 85 in the second at Old Trafford as his side won by 108 runs to share the series 1-1.

It was his 14th Test century and he has now made 5,194 runs in 74 appearances since his debut nine years ago.

Inzamam was the leading run-scorer in Test cricket during the year 2000 with 1,063 in 18 innings at an average of 62.53.

He has moved above India's Rahul Dravid, Brian Lara of the West Indies and Sri Lankan Mahela Jayawardene in the PricewaterhouseCoopers rankings.

The list is headed by Sachin Tendulkar, with Australian skipper Steve Waugh and Zimbabwe's Andy Flower second and third.

England batsman Graham Thorpe has risen one place to ninth after scoring 138 at Old Trafford.

The bowling top 10 remains the same with Glenn McGrath of Australia ranked number one in the world.
