Chris Stephens: in trouble over Bebb incident
Wales forward Chris Stephens has been charged with grievous bodily harm after allegedly punching an opponent during a game.

Stephens allegedly punched Cross Keys' record points scorer Ioan Bebb after tackling him in a Welsh-Scottish League match on August 26.

30-year-old Bebb suffered a partially-detached retina and underwent surgery at Bristol Eye Hospital to save the sight in his left eye.

Doctors have advised him to retire from the game to avoid any permanent sight loss.

Gwent police confirmed 25-year-old Bridgend second row Stephens, from Cwmfelin, Maesteg, has been charged with grevious bodily harm.

A spokesman said he was bailed to appear before Blackwood magistrates on Friday.
