147th heaven for Dyson
Nick Dyson compiled the 41st maximum break in professional snooker to help him beat Rob Milkins 5-3 and make the third round of the UK Championships in Bournemouth.

Dyson, ranked 114 in the world, needed the maximum to help rebound from a 3-0 deficit.

He is the seventh players to make two 147 breaks and receives £5,000 plus the pre-TV high break prize of £1,520.

Dyson hit a 147 in a UK Tour event last year and said he sensed the opportunity early on.

I was more concerned about winning the match than making the break. It doesn't effect my ranking - it's just money
Nick Dyson
"I knew when I got to 40 that I'd make it and when I brought the last red off the side cushion, it was just a question of holding myself together.

"But I was more concerned about winning the match than making the break. It doesn't effect my ranking - it's just money.

"It's great to make it though and win the match because the last one I made I lost 4-3."

His 147 is the fifth in UK Championship history, the third of the season and the seventh of the year.
