John Parrott
John Parrott
Parrott would like a repeat performance of 1991
Date of birth: 11/05/64
World ranking:10
Career earnings: £2,803,890

It would have been fair to assume that to be a captain on A Question of Sport you would either have to be in the twilight of your career or have already retired.

But John Parrott is still in top form and has stuck around the world's top 16 for the past 14 years.

He has an impressive record in the major events having won nine ranking events during his long career.

The World Championship win of 1991 was followed by a UK Championship victory in the very same year.

The passionate Everton fan has also reached eight world quarter-finals, one semi-final and two finals.
