Stephen Lee
Stephen Lee
Lee will looking to continue his rise to the top
Date of birth: 12/10/74
World ranking: 5
Career earnings: £598,001

Stephen Lee may have an innocent look but no one should underestimate the killer instinct that lies beneath.

The Wiltshire lad has been on the professional circuit since 1992 but has only recently made an impression on the world scene.

The 26-year-old has won one ranking event, the Grand Prix in 1998, and has since risen to fifth in the world rankings.

He succombed to John Higgins in the quarter-finals of the 1999 World Championships but then injuries sustained in a car accident put paid to his World Championship 2000 bid.

He reached the final of the Regal Welsh Open last season where he was beaten by John Higgins, 9-8, in what was a tremendous contest.
