London Wasps 42-5 L'Aquila

Wasps coasted to victory in their Pool Two match at Loftus Road without 10 of their star players through injury and non-selection.

Centre Fraser Waters opened the scoring after five minutes, pouncing on a loose ball close to the line and Wasps never looked back.

Winger Kenny Logan added the extra points and did not waste a chance all afternoon, succeeding with all six conversions.

Four minutes later fly-half Andrea Masi missed a chance for the Italians, sending his close-range penalty kick left of the uprights.

Wasps extended their lead in the 28th minute when centre Mark Denney finished off a surge by the home pack.

Wasps' defence was taken by surprise in the 32nd minute when winger Pierpaolo Rotilio sneaked through on the right to earn the Italians five points.

It was short-lived revival, as six minutes later Waters sneaked through the centre to score his second try.

At half-time Wasps led 21-5, and they stretched their advantage in the 50th minute with full-back Alex King sprinting down the right to score.

A dramatic run through the centre by Logan in the 68th minute secured Wasps' victory and continuing to pile on the pressure, Wasps skipper Lawrence Dallaglio scored his side's sixth try with four minutes left.
