Got some spare milk, fruit and other odds and ends lying around and a blender to throw them into?

A glass of smoothie

Smoothies are extremely easy to make, not to mention healthy and tasty.

And it's the perfect opportunity to experiment with the more exotic fruits of the world - passion fruit and rambutan anyone?


What you'll need:

  • 1/2 a glass of milk
  • 1/2 a glass of cranberry juice
  • 8 fresh strawberries
  • 18 fresh raspberries

    How to put it together

  • Pour all the ingredients into the blender
  • Blend for 10 seconds
  • Pour into a tall glass
  • Decorate with a cherry on top


    What you'll need

  • Glass of chilled milk
  • 8-10 raspberries (frozen if desired)
  • 1 kiwi fruit (1/2 for smoothie and 1/2 for decoration)
  • 2 scoops of raspberry ripple ice cream (optional)

    How to put it together

  • Place fruit and ice cream in blender
  • Blend together until smooth
  • Add milk and blend for one minute
  • Pour into tall glass
  • Decorate with kiwi slices
  • Add straw and serve

    What you'll need

  • Milk
  • Coco powder
  • Cooking chocolate
  • Tinned raspberries
  • Raspberry ripple ice cream
  • Fresh cream (optional)

    How to put it together

  • Grate chocolate and sieve raspberries
  • Mix in a bowl with 200ml of milk and whisk
  • Add 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder and 3 scoops of ice cream
  • Whisk again
  • Add fresh cream and whisk again
  • Decorate with grated chocolate, add straw and serve
