Tiger Woods sinks a pressure putt on the last and avoids the cut at the US Masters - but only just.
The defending champion has struggled on the second morning of action and will start the third round 11 shots adrift of the leader, Mike Weir.
The Canadian is looking comfortable with a four-shot lead over Darren Clarke having finished with a round of 68.
The key action as it happens (all times BST):
1549: Tiger Woods sinks a pressure putt on the last to make par which is enough to see him stay for the weekend - but only just.
1542: Darren Clarke finishes his second round with a par and will resume four shots behind Mike Weir when the third round gets underway later in the day.
1526: As the second round comes to a close, Darren Clarke cuts Mike Weir's five-shot lead by one stroke with a birdie at the 17th.
1521: Phil Mickelson closes with a par and Tiger Woods makes a birdie to enhance his prospects of staying for the rest of the weekend.
1517: A round of 71 is good enough to see Vijay Singh finish the second round in a tie for fifth on level par.
1513: Mike Weir closes with a par to card a round of 68. Now he will sit and wait to see if any of his pursuers can make inroads into his five-shot lead over the closing holes.
1501: Ernie Els continues to climb the leaderboard, another birdie is enough to put him in a tie for 10th at one over.
1458: Mike Weir's lead stretches from three to five after he holes a birdie and Darren Clarke cards a bogey.
1453: Tiger Woods has a bogey at the sixth and is now walking a tightrope. He has made the last 101 cuts but is on the cusp of the projected line at Augusta on five over.
1447: Having clawed his way to within two shots of Mike Weir, Phil Mickelson undoes all his good work with a double bogey at the 16th.
1445: Paul Lawrie comes into the clubhouse after a second level-par round to join Jose Maria Olazabal and Brad Faxon as the clubhouse leader.
1440: Ernie Els is one of the big movers of the day. After an opening-round 79, the South African is five under with four holes to pay in his second round.
1435: Ricky Barnes drops another shot and is now in a five-way tie for fourth on level par. Only three players - Mike Weir, Phil Mickelson and Darren Clarke - are under par.
1433: Phil Mickelson makes another birdie to close to within two shots of leader Mike Weir.
1428: Tiger Woods is in trouble with a double bogey at the fourth, which sees him drop to four over. Early projections suggest the cut will come at five over.
1421: Ricky Barnes, having gained a shot on the resumption, drops a shot and slips down the leaderboard.
1415: Bernhard Langer continues to drop shots and at 12 over, only a sensational closing six holes will see him make the cut for the 20th consecutive time at Augusta.
1408: Jose Maria Olazabal finishes his second round and joins Brad Faxon as the clubhouse leader at level par.
1404: Another dropped shot in the opening stages and it is the leader, Mike Weir. Despite the error at the 14th he still enjoys a comfortable three-shot lead.
1400: David Toms drops a shot and falls back to level par.
1358: Phil Mickelson makes up for the mess of the 12th with a birdie at the 13th to climb into a three-way tie for second.
1354: Brad Faxon cards a second-round 71 and is the new clubhouse leader at level par.
1350: It is a calamitous start for Darren Clarke, the leading European overnight. He opens with a double bogey at the 11th, to drop back to two under.
1347: Mike Weir opens with a par and Ricky Barnes a birdie. The amateur moves into third place on his own at two under.
1341: Spain's Jose Maria Olazabal is another early mover, picking up a shot to climb into a five-way tie for fifth at level par.
1338: Phil Mickelson drops a shot and falls back to a tie for third with the amateur Ricky Barnes.
1325: Phil Mickelson makes the worst possible start to the day, finding water off the tee at 12.
1320: Play resumes under blue skies in perfect conditions for golf. The 75 players still on the course will be looking to take advantage of the weather and climb the leaderboard.
