Hook's Justin Rose says he feels at home when he plays at Wentworth, the venue for this week's PGA Championship.

The 30-year-old, who is currently 29th in the world rankings, finished 10th at last year's event.

Rose told BBC Surrey: "Coming back to Wentworth is always special for me, it's my old stomping ground.

"I grew up in the area and came to watch the PGA from about the age of eight. Whenever I'm here I get good feelings and good memories."

He added: "This tournament always gets good crowds and being from the area I always get good support.

"I think they've softened some of the changes from last year. The word on the street is the tweaks they've made are for the better, so I'm looking forward to seeing the course."

Rose warmed up for the PGA Championship by playing in a Pro-Am event at the Surrey course on Monday in aid of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.

"Seve meant a lot to golfers all over the world, but especially the British golfing public," Rose said.

"We've seen what he's done for many years, and we've all fallen in love with the man he was and how he played the game.

"It was great to help in any small way I can."
