Laura Davies: Won the individual competition
England's Laura Davies and Trish Johnson had to settle for second as Swedes Carin Koch and Sophie Gustafson claimed the inaugural TSN Ladies' World Cup of Golf at Adare Manor in Co Limerick.

Davies, who shot a 71 for seven-under-par total of 209, won the individual prize but Johnson posting a 73, they finished on two under and five behind the Swedes.

Gustafson holed a 20-foot birdie putt at the 18th for a 71, four-under total and joint-second place in the individual with France's Marine Monnet, who closed with a course-record 66.

Koch then slipped in a shot further back on three under after a 73. The Swedish pair were delighted to score a team win just three weeks before they join forces for Europe in the Solheim Cup against the United States at Loch Lomond.

"It's a great feeling to win for your country," said Koch, who is a Solheim Cup newcomer.

"We both played well all week and I think this is an event with huge potential."

Davies said: "Winning the individual prize was really irrelevant because Trish and I just wanted to win for England. But we gave it a really good shot and Sweden were worthy winners."
