Highlights - Women's Open third round
Taiwan's Yani Tseng produced an eagle three at the final hole to retain her four-shot lead after the third round of the Women's Open at Royal Birkdale. Tseng's third straight round of four-under gave her a 12-under-par total, four clear of Katherine Hull, whose 66 was the second-best round of the day. Kim In-Hyung is third on six under with Wales's Becky Brewerton the best-placed Briton on one-over par. That round of 71 included a hole-in-one at the par three 12th. The five-iron shot was the first hole-in-one of Brewerton's career, and she said to have done it at Birkdale made it all the more special. "To have it here, at this tournament as well, was brilliant," she said. "The shot was great all the way. It looked really good but I couldn't see it go in. There was quite a big crowd to the left of the green and they all went nuts. I didn't know what to do with myself."

I just made a lot of putts. That's really how you score out here

Hull also ended the day with a smile on her face, pulling herself into contention at the end of an otherwise unremarkable round by finishing off with five straight birdies. But even those achievements were overshadowed by Morgan Pressel's seven-under new course-record round of 65. After dropping shots at the first two holes, the American bagged eight birdies and an eagle and dropped just one stroke in the rest of her round. That lifted her from four over at the end of the second round to three under at the end of the third, tied in 10th place. "I just made a lot of putts. That's really how you score out here. I hit 14 greens, I had 25 putts," she said.
