Drummond (left) and Coltart have lost their Tour cards

Scottish golfer Scott Drummond is remaining upbeat despite losing his European Tour card. The Scot posted a closing round of 66 at the Hong Kong Open to finish 11th and, alongside compatriot Andrew Coltart, now faces qualifying school. "I gave myself a chance which is all I wanted," Drummond said. "I'm disappointed to miss out. I've never been more confident in my game and I've got to take that with me going to Tour school and try to win it." Drummond needed a top 10 finish in Hong Kong to retain his card but said his putting let him down. "I left myself a little bit of work to do. I thought I would have to shoot a 63 at worst. I just didn't make the putts," he said. "I shot a 66 which was a tidy score. I had a little run coming in where I went eagle, birdie and I thought I could've got a run going," he said. France's Gregory Bourdy held off the challenge of Rory McIlroy to win the Hong Kong Open by two strokes. Former Ryder Cup player Coltart failed to keep his Tour card by missing the halfway cut at the JBWere Masters in Melbourne. Coltart needed to climb just three places on the money list, but crashed out on eight over par after rounds of 77 and 75.
