Cookridge Hall will raise money for the Leeds General Infirmary
|
Former Leeds United manager Gary McAllister will be amongst the stars teeing off at Cookridge Hall Golf Club to raise money for charity. Brothers Sam and Luke Burgess of Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos respectively will also play. General manager Gary Day says "It's a very well supported event because we can attract big names to play." "Because we competed on the scene we can call upon big name tournament pros which makes for good viewing." He added: "We have been very lucky with the support in the past of Gary McAllister, Eddie Gray, Lee Sharpe, Peter Beagrie, snooker's Willie Thorne, and the Rugby League boys Luke and Sam Burgess as well as Steve Menzies all having played. "We've always supported a charity. This year's is the High Dependency Surgical unit at the Leeds General Hospital. "Above all we will raise funds for a great cause."
