Broadhurst is ranked 85 on the European Tour
Warwickshire golfer Paul Broadhurst hopes to continue his good Open track record after qualifying to play at Turnberry next week.
"I've got a good Open record," he said. "I made the cut in most I've played in, but I did miss at Turnberry in 1994.
"But I've had some decent results there and I look forward to playing again."
The 43-year-old from Atherstone's best finish is joint 12th, first in 1990 at St Andrews and again in 2007 when he tied with Tiger Woods at Carnoustie.
His efforts in 1990 still hold him a place in the Open record books. His third round 63 around the Old Course is still the joint-lowest round in Open Championship history.
Broadhurst, now attached to Leicestershire club Branston, will be up at Turnberry early next week to practise with his long-time friend, fellow West Midlander Peter Baker, who booked his place at Final Qualifying at Glasgow Gailes on Tuesday.
