Gay triumphs in Heritage Classic

Gay continued to stretch his lead on the final day

American Brian Gay, helped by a monster eagle putt at the par-five 2nd, stormed to a stunning 10-shot victory at the Heritage Classic in Hilton Head.

Three ahead of the field overnight, Gay clinched his second PGA Tour title after closing with a seven-under-par 64 at the Harbour Town Golf Links.

Gay set a new tournament record as he wound up with a score of 20 under.

Britain's Luke Donald closed with an eight-birdie 66 to share second at 10 under with American Briny Baird (68).
