McIlroy's displays have earned some rave reviews from golf's top players
Tiger Woods believes Northern Ireland teenager Rory McIlroy has all the attributes to succeed him as world number one.
The 19-year-old is already ranked 16 in the world and recently won his first title at the Dubai Desert Classic.
"There's no doubt. Certainly he has the talent. We can all see it," said Woods.
"The way he hits the ball and putts - he has the composure. He has all the components to be the best player in the world," added Woods.
McIlroy is currently tied for third place at the World Golf Championships in Florida, where Woods is also playing as he continues his return to action after major knee surgery.
But the 33-year-old 14-times major winner said it was important the youngster was given time to mature.
"It's just a matter of time and experience and then basically gaining that experience in big events," said Woods.
"That takes time and I mean, he's only 19. Just give him some time and I'm sure he'll be there."
