Poulter did not want to risk his world ranking status
|
Ian Poulter has pulled out of the £3.2m Singapore Open after his driver was stolen during last week's HSBC Champions event in Shanghai.
A replacement club for the Englishman failed to arrive in time for the start of the competition on 13 November.
"It's disappointing as I did not come all this way not to play," the world number 25 said.
"But with so many world ranking points at stake, if I played badly I may have lost ground."
