Harrogate's John Parry has reached next month's second qualifying stage for the European Tour after finishing joint fifth at Fleesensee in Germany.
Parry's lifelong coach Mark Moore told BBC Radio York: "He will have to really be on his game to get through but I've every reason to believe that he will.
"I'm a total believer, I think he's going to go right to the very top."
The 21-year-old is also in the hunt for membership of the Challenge Tour and could win a place on that next week.
Moore first met Parry when he was working at Harrogate Golf Club.

"When John was seven he came to me and asked if he could work on his shot-shaping, which is quite an advanced thing to ask for.
"When I saw him hit shots it soon struck me that he was a very, very natural talent at the game."
Parry went on to win a string of amateur honours before turning professional.
Moore is now based at Rudding Park which is a few miles south of Harrogate, and he has provided Parry with "one or two lessons a week for the last 15 years".
He added: "One of his biggest assets, other than having a fantastic golf game, is that he's very unflappable, I've seen John under the most intense pressure and he's very, very cool, calm and collected.
"He's very single-minded and very professional."
Following his Challenge tour bid next week, Parry goes to Spain for the four-day second qualifying stage from 5 November.
If he comes through that, the third and final qualifying stage is a six-day contest from 13 November.
