Hudson in 'best form' of career

Doncaster's Rebecca Hudson says she is playing some of the best golf of her career after winning the English Open at The Oxfordshire golf club on Sunday.

Hudson secured her second title in the space of three weeks with a final round 64, one shot clear of overnight leader Melissa Reid.

She told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I go out and always want to play good golf.

"I'm just playing some of the best golf I've played and I have more control over the golf course."

The 29-year-old added the open title to her recent victory at the Tenerife Open and is nearly £20,000 richer after a 10 under par final round at the Oxfordshire Golf Club in Thame.

Hudson fired eight birdies - four on the front nine and four on the back - for a 206 total score for the tournament.

It was her third win on the Ladies European Tour after a maiden tour title in Hungary in 2006.
