Wentworth pro Ross Fisher is relishing the challenge of his first US Open after qualifying for Torrey Pines.
Fisher earned his place in the field at the European qualifier at Walton Heath.
He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "I am anticipating greens that are very quick and sloping, and ridiculously thick and long rough."
"But I still feel confident in my ability and my game is in decent shape. I will be trying to play positive and aggressive golf."
Fisher, 27, has made steady progress since moving on to the European Tour in 2006.
He won his first title, the KLM Dutch Open, in 2007 and is currently 101st in the world rankings.
