Donald shares Honda Classic lead

Donald has had a topsy-turvy few days at the Honda Classic

Britain's Luke Donald recovered from his awful second round to take a share of the lead going into the final round of the Honda Classic.

Donald, Australian rookie Matt Jones and American Mark Calcavecchia, who won this event in 1987 and 1998, finished on six-under par after the third round.

Donald, the first round leader, climbed back to the top of the leader board after he had carded 74 on Friday.

The 30-year-old Donald's superb putting saw him compile a four-under par 66.

It was Donald's second bogey-free round of the week.

"I was a little bit disappointed after the second round," admitted Donald.

"I had one really bad hole on 14 so it was nice to bounce back and play very solid today.

"There's a lot of danger out there. There's some very daunting shots, a lot of scary shots with a lot of water around.

"So you have to really stand up there and hit good, solid shots."

Jones, who bogeyed three holes, birdied the 18th to make a 71.

Donald's compatriot Brian Davis - Friday's overnight leader - had a frustrating day as he slipped to five-under after his round of 73.

Also on five-under is Argentine Jose Coceres, who has been below par in all three rounds, while Americans Ben Crane and Dudley Hart are both just two shots off the lead.
