Graeme McDowell is tied third at the halfway stage of the UBS Hong Kong Open after firing a four-under-par 66 in Friday's second round.
The Portrush player is seven under and five behind leader Robert Karlsson.
But Hollwood teenager Rory McIlroy has missed the cut by four shots after a 74 left him on three over.
Damien McGrane is five under after a 66, Gary Murphy shot a 70 to lie four under and Paul McGinley is two under after a 70.
McDowell's round included seven birdies and three bogeys and follows his 67 on Thursday.
McIlroy carded a double-bogey six at the sixth to go along with five bogeys and three birdies.
