Els picked up three shots in his first eight holes and by the 14th, he and Austin had narrowed the gap to two

Woods looked worried and a three-putt on 14 meant his pursuers were just one back

Austin emerged as the closest challenger, and revelled in the spotlight, as he pushed Woods all the way

But Woods ensured he "got the job done" and the world number one was able to celebrate a 13th major title
