*Hansen wins sudden-death play-off
Anders Hansen won a dramatic play-off with Justin Rose to claim his second PGA Championship title at Wentworth.
The Dane sank a tricky 12-foot putt to seal victory on the first sudden-death play-off hole, the 18th.
The pair had finished on eight under par on a day when heavy rain made conditions extremely difficult.
South Africa's Richard Sterne finished tied for third on seven under with Vijay Singh, who shot seven birdies to card 66 and leap up the leaderboard.
I'm really happy and in a way a little surprised
Overnight leaders Paul Broadhurst and Ross Fisher both had days to forget with rounds of 80 and 84 seeing them quickly drop out of contention.
Hansen fired a 69 and briefly went clear at the top of the leaderboard right at the death after birdying the last.
That took him past Singh, who had come from nowhere overnight to look at one stage like the possible winner.
But Rose produced a magnificent third on the 18th, after his drive had found the rough on the left of the fairway, to finish just a foot from the hole - and he rolled in the putt to trigger the play-off.
Hansen said: "I didn't play all that great, but it was tough out there so I just tried to keep it all together - just keep the ball in play and see what happened.
It's hard not to be pleased about playing so well at home in a tournament I really love and came to watch many times as a kid
"I knew Vijay was in the clubhouse at seven under, so I knew I had to birdie 18 to go clear.
"I felt pretty calm in the play-off, but I was just lucky I made the putt on the 18th and Justin didn't.
"It looked good all the way - my caddy and I found the line and it rolled in.
"I'm really happy and in a way a little surprised. I've worked very hard this year but until now I've struggled, but this week it all just clicked."
Rose was phlegmatic in defeat.
He said: "I guess it is disappointing - you are that close when you are in a play-off but it was over so quickly. He holed his putt and I missed mine.
"But it's hard not to be pleased about playing so well at home in a tournament I really love and came to watch many times as a kid."
