Mexico's Lorena Ochoa fought back bravely to win the Safeway International in Arizona on Sunday.
Ochoa took a four-shot lead into the final round, but found herself two shots behind Suzann Pettersen after an early surge from the Norwegian.
But Ochoa, who finished on 18 under, hit back over the later holes to beat Pettersen by two strokes.
The rest of the field was well back, with Laura Diaz and Jeong Jang sharing third at 10 under.
Scotland's Catriona Matthew hit a final round of 69 to finish at nine under, two shots ahead of world number one Annika Sorenstam.
"I was watching the leaderboard," said Ochoa, who made sure of the win with a birdie at the last.
"Suzann at the start was amazing. She's a great player, and I want to say it's a great run and congratulations for her.
"She put a lot of pressure on me. I was feeling good. I was feeling fine with my game."
