Norman admits motivation has gone
Greg Norman
Norman has cut back on his playing schedule in recent years
Former world number one Greg Norman has admitted he no longer has the appetite for regular tournament golf.

The 51-year-old Australian is making a rare European Tour appearance in this week's Dubai Desert Classic.

"I don't have the motivation I used to," said the man who gained the nickname the 'Great White Shark'.

"Ernie Els will walk off the 18th green after a pro-am, go to the range and hit more balls. That's what you need to do and I have no interest in doing that."

Norman, who has myriad business interests, added he gets more pleasure now out of designing courses around the world.

"My golf course design, of all I do, I enjoy doing that most," he said.
