Bad jumpers, dodgy strides
Peter Alliss and Arnold Palmer
The blurb on Nice Jumper, Tom Cox's recent book about golf, talks about the author being drawn into "a world of male-bonding rituals and strange trousers".

One look at these two leg-ends of the game reveals just how strange some of those trousers can be.

GB stalwart - and voice of golf - Peter Alliss seems to be wearing strides so wide they look more like culottes, with huge peanut-catching turn-ups.

While K Club course designer Arnold Palmer sports "pants" usually seen only in the kitchen.
