Irish impact in the Ryder Cup
Another chapter in Ireland's rich Ryder Cup heritage was written as Europe beat the USA 18½-9½ at the K Club.
The Emerald Isle has supplied an array of heroes over the years, from the against-the-odds victories of Eamonn Darcy and Christy O'Connor Jnr to the match-winning putts of Philip Walton and Paul McGinley.
An emotional Darren Clarke maintained the tradition in Kildare where he joined team-mates McGinley and Padraig Harrington.
