Will MacKenzie birdied the 18th to earn a one-shot victory over Bob Estes in the Reno-Tahoe Open.
The pair had shared the lead going into the final round and MacKenzie at one stage opened up a three-shot lead.
But Estes birdied the 14th and 15th, while MacKenzie bogeyed the 17th to leave them level going down the last.
MacKenzie holed a 10-foot birdie putt on the 18th for a round of 71 and a 20-under total to earn his first victory on the PGA Tour.
"I was sort of like, 'Wow, it went in,'" said MacKenzie. "I hadn't made any all day."
Estes said: "I figured if I was there at the end, I'd win the golf tournament, but my game wasn't really sharp enough."
Joe Ogilvie made a run up the leaderboard with a course record-tying 10-under 62.
Ogilvie shot 28 on the back nine, birdying every hole except the 13th, to finish third on 18 under.
Sweden's Daniel Chopra signed for a 69 to finish fourth at 17 under.
