A solid putter, Vaughn Taylor has claimed six top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season, with a best result of third at the Verizon Heritage in April.
Having turned pro in 1998, Taylor finally made the PGA Tour in 2004.
That year he became one of five rookies to claim a victory - his coming at the Reno-Tahoe Open whilst the big guns were at the WGC event at Firestone.
Taylor defended that title in 2005, a victory that helped him finish 36th on the money list.
A keen fisherman, Taylor has never played in a matchplay competition.
Did you know? Born in Virginia, Taylor moved to Augusta, Georgia, as a child. He learned the game on a public course there and would later attend high school and college in the golf-mad town. He finally made it to the Masters in 2006.
